Datem purchase Haas TL-1 to Continue Growth

Datem Ltd are proud to announce the acquisition of the Haas TL-1 Toolroom Lathe.
The new Hass Toolroom Lathe, with a functional range from manual operation to full CNC, features the Hass Intuitive Turning System; a proprietary conversational operating system and makes cutting parts and creating programs nearly effortless. The Toolroom lathe operates in four modes; Manual, semi-automatic, full automatic or full CNC. High-accuracy digital read-out makes manual positioning easy, and the Hass Intuitive Turning System makes running parts even easier.

Brushless servo motors provide precise positioning, and a one-piece cast-iron base damps vibration and provides rigidity for heavy cuts. The machines run on either single or three-phase power.

The TL-1 is a welcomed addition to Datems machining department and will be used to help manufacturer parts for our Geotechnical machinery and their accompanied accessories.

Datem team up with Geosoft

Datem have successfully worked with Geosoft, the makers of the well known CPT-Pro job processing software to allow interpretation of the newer format data files outputted by the Neptune Control and Data Acquisition Software Suite. The move means that customers and potential customers of Neptune CPT systems and Geosoft's CPT-Pro can analyse the data files with relative ease.

Revised Datem Company Website Launched

Datem are pleased to confirm the launch of their new-look website, the site has been designed to be more presentable and allow visitors to find products/information with relative ease. To allow the upgrade Datem have changed to a newer and much improved web server allowing for greater expansion in the future, "We are very happy to have acquired a new web server, the change had been on the cards for a while and the change-over down-time was minimal, we are now able to develop the site further to help the company reach it's goals", Aaron Bromley (IT Manager & Software Engineer of Datem Ltd).

Microsoft Windows Vista Compatible Software

Datem are pleased to announce that the new Neptune Control and Data Acquisition software is Microsoft Windows Vista and XP compatible.

The change encompasses all versions of the Neptune systems and allows clients running machines with the newest operating system to be able to use the new release of the Neptune software.
The software has been re-written but has kept the functionality and look of the highly successful 4th Generation of the Control and Acquisition Software Suite.

Ethernet Communication Option for Neptune Users

Version 6.10 and later of the Neptune Control and Acquisition Software Suite encompasses an auto detection communication port scanner, this scanner detects which communcation port is connected to the Neptune CPT System and therefore removes the need for manual configuration. Ethernet communciation has been successfully and strenuously tested, it is fully working with the Neptune CPT Systems. With the latest laptops readily available not having a built in serial communication port (D-type) the Ethernet communication option means that an external PCMCIA card is no longer necessary to use the Neptune Control and Acquisition Software Suite.

Datem welcome back Dave West to the their team

Datem are delighted to reveal that Dave West has re-joined Datem. After a spell of 5 years Dave has re-joined the team and with his knowledge within the geotechnical field is a valued addition to Datems drive for further success. Dave helped design and develop the first ever Neptune System.

Acid Mixing System Successfully Completed

Datem have successfully designed and developed an acid mixing system for use by Schlumberger. The project took place in Singapore and was a success. The system was designed to pump accurate quantities of liquid down a well.

Self Tuning Telemetry Developed and NOW AVAILABLE

Datem are proud to announce that self tuning Neptune telemetry boards are now available for purchase. This saving many hours of tuning the Neptune system in to various lengths of cable. The new system can tune the Neptune into various cable lengths in just a few seconds.
