Founded in 1986 by David Bashford to
provide electronic technical support to offshore oil-well service
companies,
Datem has grown considerably and now provides a diverse range of
electronic and electromechanical services and
products to a multi-market global client base. The company is now best
known for its range of marine geotechnical survey equipment.
Following spells in Woking and Woodhall spa
(Lincolnshire), Dave moved the company and his increasing band of 14
employees to our purpose built 4000 sq ft. facility in the Lincolnshire
village of Metheringham close to our principal fabrication partners.
The facility includes a temperature stable calibration
suite for the maintenance and calibration of our sub-sea geotechnical
probes and a layered outside pit for the
testing of various CPT equipment. Double height indoor workshop, open
plan laboratory and tiered office space complete a good working
environment.
