Datem's Cone De-Airing system is a self contained
vacuum system for saturating CPT Geotechnical Probes. The system is fully portable and
provides a facility for rapid evacuation of air from closed vacuum
chamber enabling a better pore response during the Cone Penetration
Test.
The system uses a dry running rotary vane pump with an
exhaust silencer and a vacuum capacity of 3.5m³/hour.
The system can produce a permanent vacuum of 150mbar (Abs).
The system features a closed vacuum
chamber, which has been designed to accept a selection of cones from our
own Neptune range or from alternative suppliers, including Mini-cones
and 10cm² cones.
