Resistivity Data Acquisition System
Datem has designed and manufactured a range of
Shallow and Deepwater Resistivity Data Acquisition Systems
intended for undertaking resistivity surveys or sub-sea soils.
The systems work on the principle of passing a
high current from one contact on a streamer cable, through the
soil to a return contact. Arrangements of additional contacts are
used for taking electrical measurements in relationship to the
current path. The resulting calculated resistance readings are
used to determine the soil composition.

Cone De-Airing System
Datem's Cone De-Airing system is a self
contained vacuum system for saturating CPT cones. The system is
fully portable and provides a facility for rapid evacuation of air
from closed vacuum chamber enabling a better pore response during
the Cone Penetration Test.

Analogue MCPT Cone
Datem manufactures MCPT cones for operation with
third party systems. The cones are supplied without electronics
and the upper housing of the cone is machined to match the thread
of the third party CPT rod.
The cones are easily detachable from the CPT rod
so as to minimise consumable costs, and each cone is supplied with
a multipoint calibration.

Digital 10cm RS485 Cone
The digital
10cm RS485 Cone incorporates the latest developments in cone
technology. The cone is designed primarily for operation with
Datem’s Land CPT system and features high precision built in
electronics to increase the accuracy and stability of the cone
data. The amplified data outputs allow much improved signal
transfer between the cone and the sub sea CPT control electronics.
Onboard digitization eliminates signal noise and data corruption.

Neptune T-Bar Cone
The Neptune 3000 T-Bar Cone incorporates the
latest developments in miniature cone technology. The cone is
designed specifically for operation with Datem’s
Neptune
3000 MCPT system and features high precision built in
electronics to increase the accuracy and stability of the cone
data. The amplified data outputs allow much improved signal
transfer between the cone and the sub sea CPT control electronics.
The T-Bar cones are fitted with axial load, friction sleeve and
dual axis tilt as standard. The T-Bar is based around a modified
5cm cone with increased sensitivity. The electronics housing has
been specifically designed to mate to the normal CPT rod without
the need for any adapters.
The T-Bar cones are easily detachable from the CPT rod so as to
minimize consumable costs, and each cone is supplied with a
multipoint calibration.

Datems SmartCone™ is available in
CAN 5cm² format. Our SmartCone™ feature fully integrated advanced
RISC microprocessors operated via RS232 serial communications link
or intelligent CAN Bus.
High Precision, built-in
electronics including non-multiplexed delta-sigma converters,
increase the accuracy and stability of the data.
Individual Calibration Data is
stored internally on non-volatile eeprom memory.
